Knockderry House Hotel is a 4 star family owned hotel situated on the banks of Loch Long which is one of the magnificent sea lochs of the west coast of Scotland.

Run by husband and wife Beth and Murdo MacLeod and their team of local staff, Knockderry House aims to offer a truly Scottish welcome to all visitors to the area, and the provision of the finest Scottish local produce and hospitality.

Food and Drink

Whether enjoying the Tasting Menu in the Dining Room or the Seasonal House Menu in the less formal Ante Room, dining at Knockderry Country House is all about the seasons as we take our inspiration from the natural larder to create our menus.

During the summer, the garden terrace is the ideal place for a light lunch or an early evening drink overlooking the lochside. The Lounge Bar with its magnificent woodcarvings and glorious crackling log fires make a suitably comfortable and relaxing environment in which to unwind at the end to a day walking, sailing or exploring the local area.

Dinner is served in the old wood-panelled dining room of the original house with its glorious stained glass and a charming outlook over Loch Long.

As a small hotel we are often full with not only those staying in the hotel but many local residents who have come to enjoy our hospitality and quality of food. Our fantastic staff are drawn locally from the local peninsula and will offer you a genuine Scottish welcome to the area.
